This was our very first view of Paradise Island as we pulled into Benitses Harbour in Corfu in April 2014. She is a Prout escale 39 foot catamaran built in 1993 in Essex. She, like any boat of the same age, needs lots of care and attention. Repairs, both big and small, are never far away. But when all is said and done, she is our home and we loved her from the very first moment we saw her!

Technical (ish) Details
She has a big mast,
a big, pretty sail at the front,
,
some buttons near the steering wheel (modelled by Derek Utley, aka Dad),
some buttons near the steering wheel (modelled by Derek Utley, aka Dad),
and some wires that do magic stuff to make it all work.
Below Deck (inside)
This is the central area, a room used for dining, yet due to strict marine law, it is NOT a dining room. If you say it is, you may legally be hung, drawn and quartered. It is also used for sitting but woe betide you if you call it a sitting room. This is the SALOON.
One of the two "heads" on board. A close relative of the land-based "bathroom"
The back right bedroom (oops, I mean the starboard aft cabin)
Aft cabin in the port hull (back left bedroom)
Another double berth forward.... (front bedroom) used principally as a waste of space.
On the left in the middle (port amidships) is the table used for navigation, uninspiringly named the "nav table".
Finally, Fuli's bed, affectionately known as "the nob blanket", goes wherever we are.
So there you have it: a host of ancient and wonderful marine terminologies used to describe what is essentially a 3 bed, 2 bath detached home with sea views..........
.......and a sun terrace.
